Testimonials from the 2005 Winners

--Greg Woods, 17, Newton, Iowa
From the moment I heard about the contest, I knew I should enter. Seeing this incredible sport in person was my dream. In Indianapolis at the U.S.Grand Prix, I interviewed Chris Economaki, a master who explained everything about motor sports journalism. I interviewed Scott Speed and was able to better understand Formula 1 while also getting to know him.

Witnessing the spectacle of the Grand Prix, walking through the paddock and garage, and meeting the Red Bull garage chief was unbelievable. I left pleased beyond words, yet sad for it to end.

Ever since the trip, I've had Formula 1 stories published in my local paper, and was offered a radio broadcasting job with a chance to host a racing show.

This award has greatly changed my life, and now whenever I watch a Grand Prix, I can't help but remember the incredible times I had and the opportunities presented to me.

As seen in the French newspaper "La Figaro" in 1909: "The world has been blessed with a new beauty: The beauty of Speed."

Forza Formula One.
