How do I enter the Economaki Aspiring Journalist Award?
To enter, you must write/report a story about motor racing and get it published in an accredited publication or website, or get it broadcast by an accredited media outlet (TV or Radio). You must submit three (3) original copies of your article/report along with an Entry Form (download here) to Maxim Sports Management.

What is an accredited website?
An accredited website is one that is published by a recognized media outlet. For example: motorsport.com, nationalspeedsportnews.com. Blogs and personal websites are not considered accredited for this competition.

What is the age range for participation?
13 to 22 years of age as of 31 December 2007

When is the 2006 motorsport calendar?
1 January – 30 November 2007

What is the closing date for submisssions?

What are the eligible motorsport categories?
4 Wheel: Includes stock car, open wheel, rally, sports cars, sprint car, truck, drag racing, karting
2 Wheel: Includes road racing, motorcross/supercross, enduro, rally dirt track and supermoto
Off Road Racing: Includes car, truck, motorcycling
Elements: Includes air racing, snowcross, speed boat, jet ski and ATV

To be considered a racing oriented motorsport, the sport must have all of the following characteristics:
An official, sanctioned series championship
Equipment must contain an engine and require fuel
A race start and a finish (no judged competitions)
An on-board person controlling the equipment – driver, rider or pilot

Who is eligible to win the internship?
If the winner is a high school graduate and enrolled in an accredited collegiate/university institution for the 2007 calendar year, he/she will be eligible to be considered for an internship with one of the participating media outlets.
